The Director of Pharmacy Standards for Applied Clinical Informatics is responsible for the Project planning, daily oversight of integration of Pharmacy informatics into clinical operations within the organization . This integration includes identification of requirements from an operational perspective, standardization of clinical systems and oversight of the clinical operational workflow components (workflow redesign) within the facilities. This role requires experience in clinical operations. In addition, it is critical the individual be familiar with Tenet internal operations to provide proper management of operational policies related to the selection of, standardization of, and introduction of new applications in Tenet facilities. Effective communication skills required to ensure clear understanding across all levels and entities involved, associated or vested in the project. Responsibilities include:
Ensure operational processes are integrated into the implementation of Pharmacy clinical systems within the facilities.
Ensure standardization of clinical applications following prescribed Tenet standards.
Collaborate with departments and with facilities in a manner providing increased operational effectiveness and satisfaction.
Develop effective working relationships between vendors, clinical quality staff, clinical informatics staff and Tenet facilities.Qualifications
Graduate of accredited pharmacy program. Bachelors degree preferred.
3-5 years Pharmacy Clinical Experience with progressive responsibilities in operations.
Experience in the utilization, management and implementation of informatics systems preferred.
Good leadership and management skills are required. Candidate must have a high level of self motivation, be a self starter and have the ability to multitask and work independently.
Candidate must have substantial knowledge of hospital clinical operations and management practices.
Candidate must have good managerial and organizational skills, be diplomatic, excel at conflict resolution and have the ability to work within a heavily matrixed organization.
A minimum of 3-5 years of progressively responsible related experience in operations.
Experience in:
Planning, organizing, monitoring, and leading the work activities of the project team
Proven ability to communicate with and understand the needs of internal and external clients.
Ability to mesh well with the existing management team by being a good listener, a team builder and advocate the Applied Clinical Informatics Philosophy.
